METASTABILIAN ART by DRAZEN PAVLOVIC

Drazen Pavlovic�s paintings transport the observer~observing deep into what we Metastabilians call the "dynamical landscape ", stillness only a frame of reference, it is clear that the scene being viewed is a living one, a viable system that will never be still for long.
But what is it the observer~observes ? Scenes of distant cosmic nebulas ? Captured moments of some primordial ocean depths ? Are the scenes biological, spinning diatom aquariums, or cellular, molecular events ? Pattern dynamics of even smaller scales, glimpes into the mysterious quantal fabric ? And again, the vibrant tones of familiar~unfamiliar scenes inspire more poetic interpretations, hyperchomospheres, the secret life and unknown prismatic mysteries of light ? The uncertainty of scale and place are tantalizing, and spawn uncertainty that inspires wonder and creativity in the observer~observing, and also... a conflict.
The tantalizing uncertainty allows for the possibility that Pavlovic's paintings communicate something else entirely, for example, a glimpse of the inner workings of the human imagination itself. Obviously they are expressions of Pavlovic�s imagination, but could it be more than that ? Could they actually be communicating something essential about human creativity itself, and thereby necessitate an shift of interpretation~criticism from the physical to metaphysical ? Are these hyperchromic masterpieces really about physical OR metaphysical essences ? Often as not, when framed into such apparent dichotomies, debates follow, the champions of the physical interpretations vs. the champions of the metaphysical interpretations dig in their proverbial heals...
To the Metastabilian artist, such debates are unnecessary and actually unwarranted. To try to champion interpretation~criticism upon a single aspect misses the mark by a long shot, because the scenes are neither purely realistic extensions nor purely imaginative dreamscapes... Each painting is BOTH physical and metaphysical ( and more ! ). For the Metastabilian, physics and metaphysics of human beings are complementary aspects, and so the paintings are �physical~metaphysical�. ( note: The squiggle character � ~ � means : � the inextricable, dynamical complementary nature �.)
What does this mean ? It means that each painting by Pavlovic is, bare minimum, communicating 1) Physical itself, 2) Metaphysical itself, 3) Either Physical or Metaphysical, 4) Both Physical and Metaphysical, 5) physical changing to metaphysical, 6) metaphysical changing to physical, 7) between physical and metaphysics, 8) neither physical nor metaphysical, 9) and beyond physical and metaphysical... all rolled into one !
And so it passes: the observer~observing brings their own intrinsic dynamics into the viewing, and, like an experiment from quantum mechanics, one of these 9 basic premises �collapses� onto and becomes the observers experience of the painting. And, if the observer~observing is patient, open-minded determined enough to continue their gaze... the meanings, levels and interpretations...can change ! This dynamic quality~potential of Pavlovic�s paintings is a hallmark of Metastabilian art, and opens up a vast and novel terrain for new discovery~invention. Not unlike glimpses of the multiverse spilling through black hole rips in space~time, Drazen Pavlovic�s paintings reveal unknown and uncharted glimpses of the dynamical landscape, as he explores and shares his visions and versions of the Metaversal.
A humble suggestion of the humble author is to get yourself a Pavlovic original while you can, because they will almost certainly become harder and harder to obtain. Those of The Metastabilian Art Movement wish the Metastabilian Artist extraordinaire Drazen Pavlovic all the best in his further efforts and exploration. His art helps us all to remember the hail : " May the squiggle, that is, the coordination dynamics of the complementary nature, be with us ! "
